This monologue is made up entirely of excerpts from the writings of Dorothy Brett, adapted for stage.
Taos painter Dorothy Brett, 73, breaks her silence about her trip to Italy with D.H. Lawrence and the two traumatic nights when he attempted to make love to her. Shattered by his rejection of her, Brett remembers how, returning alone to Taos, she was healed by the wisdom and the values of the indigenous people around her.
